How to Use a Pull Cord

🧵 What is a Pull Cord?

The Pull Cord is a Resident Device. The resident pulls it to request help.

⚙️ How It Works

When the resident pulls the cord, a signal is transmitted to the nurse call system, creating an active incident. A notification is sent to caregivers, and the LED light on the device begins flashing.

🔄 How to Reset a Pull Cord

Push the locking switch up until it clicks into its starting position and the LED light turns off.

❓ Why Reset?

  • Changes the incident status from “Active” to “Open.”
  • Stops all caregiver devices from alerting for this incident.
