How to Use a Pendant

📿 What is a Pendant?

A Pendant is a wearable Resident Device, available in various styles. It can be worn on a wristband or a neck loop. The resident presses the button to request help.

⚙️ How It Works

When the button is pressed, a signal is sent to the nurse call system, creating an active incident. A notification is sent to caregivers, and the red LED light on the pendant begins flashing.

🔄 How to Reset a Pendant

  1. Press and hold the button for 8 seconds. The LED will flash when pressed and again after 8 seconds.
  2. Release the button after the second LED flash. (If you don’t see the second flash, you haven’t held it long enough.)

❓ Why Reset?

  • Changes the incident status from “Active” to “Open.”
  • Stops all caregiver devices from alerting for this incident.
