How to Respond to an Incident on the RPhone

🚨 How to Respond to an Incident on the RPhone

When a resident requests help (via cord, button, or device), a signal is sent to the nurse call system, creating an active incident. Caregivers are notified immediately.

  1. Click the Incidents button on the Main screen to view the list of recent incidents.
  2. Click an incident to view details.
  3. Click I Got It to claim the incident, then click OK.
  4. Reset the resident device (cord, button, etc.) as soon as you reach the room.

πŸ”„ What Happens When You Claim a Call

  • Incident heading turns Yellow.
  • Status changes to Claimed.
  • Your RPhone continues alerting; others stop.

βœ… What Happens When You Reset the Device

  • Incident heading turns Gray.
  • Status changes to Resolved.
  • Your RPhone stops alerting.

🎯 Incident Colors

  • Red: Active, unclaimed incident.
  • Yellow: Claimed, unresolved incident.
  • Gray: Resolved incident.

πŸ‘οΈ What is a View?

A View limits which incidents a caregiver sees, based on their assigned area (e.g., 2nd Floor, East Wing). Alerts are only sent to RPhones within the same View as the resident.

  • Incidents button turns red on all RPhones in the View.
  • Incident appears at the top of the list with a red heading.
  • All RPhones in the View begin alerting and vibrating.
