🚀 Quick Start

  1. Charge Before First Use

    • Battery ships partially charged — fully charge before first use or after long storage.

    • Turn radio off while charging.

  2. Power On / Off

    • Rotate the Power/Volume Knob clockwise to turn on and adjust volume.

    • Rotate counter-clockwise until click to power off.

  3. Talk & Listen

    • Hold PTT (Push-to-Talk) to transmit.

    • Release to listen.

  4. Channels & Settings

    • Use MENU and UP/DOWN keys to browse and adjust settings.


⚠️ Safety Information

  • Always attach the antenna before use — risk of electric shock if operated without.

  • Do not use near explosive materials, while refueling, or at fuel stations.

  • Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight, extreme heat, excessive dust, or moisture.

  • Repairs should be done by authorized technicians.

  • If smoke or a burning smell occurs, turn off immediately, remove battery, and contact support.

🔋 Battery & Charging

  • Charge Time: until the LED on charger flashes green.

  • Battery Life: ~13 hrs (5% transmit / 5% receive / 90% standby).

  • Important: Don’t leave battery fully charged on the charger for long — it may shorten lifespan.


🛠️ Setup & Installation

  1. Install Battery

    • Slide top end first, click to lock.

    • To remove: power off, release clamp, and slide down.

  2. Attach Antenna

    • Screw clockwise until snug (don’t over-tighten).

  3. Belt Clip & Strap

    • Slide into the back slot until it clicks.

  4. Headset Connection (optional)

    • Insert firmly into headset port (not for charging).


📟 LCD Display Indicators

  • CT / DCS — Tone modes

  • VOX — Hands-free active

  • NAR — Narrow band enabled

  • LOW — Low transmit power

  • SCN — Scan active

  • Battery level, channel number/name, keypad lock status


🔧 Basic Operations

  • PTT: Hold to talk, release to listen

  • Menu Navigation:

    • MENU → access & confirm

    • UP/DOWN → navigate

    • V/M | EXIT → back/exit

  • Programmable Keys: Can be set for flashlight, scan, quick call, etc. (contact your dealer for setup)


⚙️ Key Functions

  • Beep Prompt: Turn button sounds ON/OFF

  • Squelch (SQL): Adjust noise filtering (recommend level 3–5)

  • VOX Sensitivity: 1 (high) – 10 (low)

  • Keypad Lock: Manual or auto after 5/10/20/30 sec

  • Channel Scan: Auto-scan saved channels

  • Flashlight: Usually Side Key 1 toggle

  • Radio Cloning: Connect with clone cable, follow on-screen prompts


💡 Helpful Tips

  • Avoid using antenna as a handle — can damage performance.

  • If the radio won’t hold charge well, battery may need replacing.

  • Check that VOX is turned off if audio is accidentally transmitting.
